Halloween For America is completely free to participate in. No money or registration is ever required. This is truly a cause we believe in, and not a gimmick. Originally created as a response to the horror of 9-11, this movement is just getting started. Over the years the haunt industry has at times gained an unfair reputation as being a bad influence on young people, contributing to escalating violence, and being in poor taste. Some local governments have even attempted to ban haunted attractions. And since 9-11, many areas have been reporting fewer trick-or-treaters. What if we could improve the image of Halloween and Make a Difference This Halloween ™?

Haunted houses, Halloween events, and stores with Halloween merchandies are great fun, but other than their owners, who really benefits? Halloween for America is a site devoted to spreading the idea that we, the Halloween industry can make a real difference in the world simply by simply supporting a charity. Pick any charity that you believe in. Then donate directly to them: a portion of your sales, canned food you collect, unused building materials, whatever you can. Does this sound like an easy way to help those in need? We invite you to add your website or Halloween event to the ever growing list of people who believe we can have fun, put on a great show, and Make a Difference This Halloween. ™
